About Sue Tallents
I grew up surrounded by a large garden, fields and woodland in the West Country, and developed an appreciation of plants and the wider landscape from an early age. My love of art and geography drew me towards an environmental career and in the 70's I gained a four-year Diploma in Landscape Architecture (DipLA Glos) at the former Gloucestershire College of Art and Design, now part of the University of Gloucestershire.
Whilst bringing up a family I relished the opportunity to experiment with plants in my own windswept clay garden, and for the last few years have been working as a freelance Garden Designer.
I am a pre-registered member of the Society of Garden Designers, aiming to gain full registration in the next two years.
I still have a strong interest in the wider landscape, and especially enjoy integrating rural gardens into their surroundings.
